GAGE

More ways in.
Same work done.

Gage should meet you where you are—whether you use a keyboard, a screen reader, larger type, or less motion.

The work should not care how you got there.

Keyboard reachable

Important controls should be reachable without a mouse, with focus that stays visible while you move.

Keep the shortcut sheet handy

Follow the focus.

Screen-reader legible

Pages, forms, errors, and status changes should have structure and names that make sense when read aloud.

A label. A field. A response.

Try a name. This example stays on this page.

Type that holds up

Text should stay readable when it is enlarged. Contrast should carry meaning without making color do all the work.

Give the words room.

Ready to schedule

Sample type: 100%

Motion optional

Animation should respect reduced-motion preferences and never become the tollbooth for getting something done.

Same arrival. Your pace.

Marker at start.

A useful floor. Not a finish line.

We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our working standard. It helps us find the things that shut people out: unreachable controls, unreadable text, unclear forms, missing structure, and motion that cannot be stopped.

The letters matter less than the result. You should be able to get the work done in the way that works for you.

Tell us where it catches.

We will not get everything right. Tell us what you were trying to do and where you got stuck. You do not need to diagnose it; we can work through it together.
